Role Description
The HORECA Supervisor will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence within the Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering (HORECA) segment. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, executing sales strategies, ensuring product visibility, and leading a high-performing sales team to achieve business objectives within the foodservice industry.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the HORECA segment.
Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers across hotels, restaurants, catering businesses, and institutional clients.
Actively pursue new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
Achieve assigned sales targets and profitability goals.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional agreements with clients.
Ensure product visibility and proper display across retail and supermarket channels.
2. Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with HORECA clients.
Provide product knowledge and tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints effectively and in a timely manner.
Monitor client needs and market trends to enhance service delivery.
3. Sales Performance & Optimization
Set and monitor sales targets (daily, weekly, monthly, and annual).
Track team performance and provide coaching and strategic direction to improve results.
Identify slow-moving products and implement strategies to improve sales.
Collaborate with marketing and supply chain teams to drive product performance.
Analyze sales data and adjust strategies to maximize performance.
4. Market Intelligence & Reporting
Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotions.
Provide regular reports on sales performance and market insights.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging opportunities.
5. Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead, train, and motivate the sales and merchandising team.
Set performance targets and conduct periodic performance reviews.
Address performance gaps and implement improvement plans where necessary.
Coordinate with internal teams including supply chain and logistics to ensure timely order fulfillment.
6. Operational Execution
Ensure effective execution of trade marketing initiatives and promotions.
Monitor stock levels and support efficient inventory management.
Ensure smooth coordination between sales, distribution, and customer service functions.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
Additional certification in Sales & Marketing or Hospitality Management is an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, account management, or business development within FMCG, food, or hospitality industry.
Proven experience and strong network within the HORECA segment (hotels, restaurants, caterers).

Willingness to travel within assigned regions.

Good command of English and Kiswahili (both written and spoken).
