 Our client, a leading technology solutions provider, is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join their dynamic team. With a focus on delivering innovative and cutting-edge solutions, our client serves a diverse range of industries, including healthcare, finance, hospitality, education, real estate, and manufacturing. As a IT Specialist, you will play a key role in providing on-site technical support, ensuring the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of critical equipment and systems.

 



 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Install, configure, and oversee hardware setup for queue management systems.

· Conduct pre-installation site surveys and recommend necessary adjustments.

· Perform routine maintenance and ensure optimal system performance.

· Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site or remotely.

· Escalate complex problems to the technical support or engineering teams.

· Ensure client property security and maintain a tidy workspace during visits.

· Provide hands-on training for end-users and real-time customer support.

· Deliver user-friendly documentation, including quick-start guides and FAQs.

· Monitor system performance and conduct periodic preventive maintenance.

· Collect user feedback and recommend system enhancements.

· Prepare service reports detailing visits, resolutions, and improvements.

· Act as a liaison between clients and the technical team in Nairobi.

· Collaborate with the development team to enhance system usability.

· Stay updated on new software features, upgrades, and hardware options.


 

 SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

· Minimum 2-3 years of field service/technical support experience.

· Experience in queue management or similar systems is an added advantage.

· Proficiency in both Swahili and English (reading and writing).

· Strong troubleshooting skills for technical and network-related issues.

· Familiarity with database management, APIs, and system integration.

· On-site visits to client locations, occasional remote support, travel to various client sites, and flexibility to work irregular hours during system rollouts or urgent support needs.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
