Stop Violence against Girls in School (SVAGS) in Tanzania Terms of Reference: Baseline Research Consultancy Stop Violence against Girls in School is a project that aims to ensure girls´ right to a free, quality, public and inclusive education while also protecting their right to safety and self-determination for the period of two years. The project will address the legal barriers, individual beliefs, and cultural norms, attitudes and behaviors that perpetuate violence against girls in and around schools. The project will focus on a single district within Tanzania (Mafia District), which encompasses 26 villages, 34 primary schools and 6 secondary schools, and is home to 9,552 students, 52% of whom are girls.
