In keeping up with our current business needs, we are pleased to announce the vacancy for a Credit Controller, to be based in Arusha, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya.

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing revenue and mitigating credit risk, conducting credit checks on suppliers, resolving problems in relation to invoice payments, and reconciling complex month-end accounts whilst highlighting potential Creditor issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for all supplier payments in accordance with the credit arrangements reached with every supplier
  • Overseeing reconciliation of creditor balances to supplier statements on a monthly basis, invoices or statement of account and following up on receipt of invoices and statements
  • Maintain an up to date suppliers ledger& matching authorized invoices to vouchers in Tourplan
  • Produce on a monthly basis creditors ageing listing
  • Responsible for audit requirements for the year end closing of the suppliers ledger

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Finance)/Advanced Diploma in Accounting & Finance/CPA

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge with 3 years’ experience
  • ICT Proficient. Tourplan knowledge will be an added advantage
  • Knowledgeable in general accounting procedures
  • Proficient in data entry and management
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
  • Ability to work fast and in an accurate manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to meet changing needs
  • Complete discretion
