RECRUITMENT OF A PROJECT OFFICER FOR SENSE INTERNATIONAL TANZANIA

Sense International Tanzania (SI Tanzania) is a nationally registered NGO, delivering a range of education and health projects supporting people with deafblindness/MSI.

Job Title: Project Officer - Tanzania
Reports to: Programme Manager
Location: Dar es Salaam, with regular in-coungntry travel

Job Purpose:
To coordinate the successful delivery of SI Tanzania’s Improved Livelihoods for People with Deafblindness in Tanzania project. The overall impact of the project is that young people with deafblindness and their family members have improved livelihoods and are actively leading on issues that affect them within their communities. This includes collaborating with like-minded organisations, relevant stakeholders to ensure provision of comprehensive and effective services to people with Deafblindness/MSI. The position is supported by a three-year project-specific grant from the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF).

Overall Responsibilities
To coordinate SI Tanzania’s Improved Livelihoods for People with Deafblindness
To support the Programme Manager with efficient management of programme budgets and schedules
To ensure that programme outputs are delivered to the expected level of quality, through managing relationships with stakeholders including government offices, and ensuring project outcomes and impact are achieved.

Person Specification
We are looking for a professional with experience of working in education, vocational training or with people with disabilities. You will need experience of coordinating projects, managing budgets, reporting, and strong monitoring and evaluation skills.

The salary is negotiable, in the range of TZS 1,200,000 Gross; a medical insurance for employee, spouse and up to 4 children under 18 years old; and pension contribution by employer of 10% of salary
