Position: Recovery Officer (1 Post)

Location: Head Office, Dar es salaam.

Job Type: Full-time.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

 Supervise and implement workout arrangement
 Review of memorandum and Non – Performing loan data base
 Review repayment proposals
 Review management report to refocus recovery drive
 Achieve recovery target in line with advised budget
 Manage relationship with debtor customer e.g. request for interest concession/ waivers write off request, restructuring of accounts
 Supervise appropriate restructuring strategies for each classified name 
 Provide daily, weekly and monthly recovery report to the Chief Credit Officer
 Provide daily payment reports to debt collection agency.
 Liaise with debt collection agency regarding debts until finalized.
 Reconcile outstanding debts and raise associated costs regarding debt recovery action.
 Determine the appropriate recovery action and refer matters to debt collection agency where necessary.
 Monitor and analyse overdue Debtor accounts.
 Ensures that all outstanding repayments referred from credit department are recovered.
 Ensures effective and efficient monitoring of repayments.
 Visits Debt collection agencies constantly as scheduled to speed up recoveries.
 Represents the Bank in court and assist in court process as may be required.
 Ensure regular inspection of residences, business locations and all collateral used for the loan facility.
 Reporting’s of “dud” cheques to the law enforcement agencies especially recalcitrant clients.
 Segments portfolio and recommend appropriate strategies for repayment

Qualificationsand Experience

Eligible candidates must possess:

 Bachelor’s degree/Diploma from a recognized University/College

 Sound knowledge of Banking operations, policies and procedures

 Computer literacy especially in the use of Microsoft package

 Minimum of 3 years’ experience in collections/recovery.

 MinimumFive (5)Ordinary Level credits (including Math and English) is compulsory,
