The University of Iringa wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill vacant academic positions at the University, as listed below.

1: FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND EDUCATION 

Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer

Qualifications: 
1. Lecturer: (PhD) with at least a Master GPA of 4.0 or above and at least Bachelor GPA of Upper Second class (3.5)
2. Assistant Lecturer: Masters with at least GPA of 4.0 or above and Bachelor GPA of 3.8 or above

Position to be filled

• Geography - 3 Positions
• Kiswahili- 3 Positions
• History - 2 positions
• English - 1 Position

2: DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY 

1. Lecturer: (2 Positions) Possession of PhD and at least a Master GPA of 4.0 or above and at least Bachelor GPA of Upper Second class (3.5)
2. Assistant Lecturer: (2 Positions) Masters with at least GPA of 4.0 or above and Bachelor GPA of 3.8 or above

3: FACULTY OF LAW 

Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer

Qualifications:
1. Lecturers (2 positions): Possession of PhD in Law (Human Right and International Law, Information technology Law, plus a good LLM with at least GPA of 4.0 or above and LLB with at least Upper Second class (3.5)
2. Assistant Lecturer (3 positions): Possession of a Masters Degree in Law with at least GPA of 4.0 or above and LLB with GPA of 3.8 or above

4: FACULTY OF PSYCHO LOGY

Lecturer/Assistant Lecturers

Qualifications:
1. Lecturers (3 positions)
Possession in PhD in psychology or Education and Psychology plus a good Master of Science or Arts in Psychology with at least GPA of 4.0 or above and Bachelor Degree with at least Upper Second class (3.5)
2. Assistant Lecturer ( 4 positions) : Possession of a Masters degree in Applied Social Psychology, Counseling Psychology and Clinical Psychology, with at least GPA of 4.0 or above and Bachelor Degree with GPA of 3.8 or above

5: FACULTY OF THEOLOGY 

Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer

Qualifications:
1. Lecturers (2 positions): Possession in PhD in the related field.
2. Assistant Lecturer ( 2 positions) : Possession of a Masters degree with at least GPA of 4.0 or above and Bachelor Degree with GPA of 3.8 or above

6: LEGAL COUNSEL & COUNCIL SECRETARY (1 Position) 

Holder of a Masters Degree in Law and also Registered Advocate of the High Court with, at least, five years experience in legal practice, three of which should be in a senior position.

7: ESTATE OFFICER (1 Position) 

Holder at least a Bachelor of Science degree/Advance Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Building Economics, Civil Engineering in Land Management and Valuation, with similar relevant working experience of at least, three years in the same position and registered with a professional engineering board.
