VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT 
HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation (HELVETAS) is a Swiss INGO actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions and status of economically poor and socially disadvantaged people in more than 33 developing countries. The organization offers services in five different working areas of development which Water and Infrastructure, Rural Economy, Environment and Climate, Education and Skills Development, and Governance and Peace. In Tanzania, HELVETAS has been working for more than 20 years. Currently, it runs some projects in central corridor regions and northern part of Tanzania which include Rural Livelihoods, Horticulture, Grain Postharvest Loss Prevention and Primary Education. 


HELVETAS in Tanzania has acquired a new a three-year mandate from the European Union to execute a new project called Empowering Smallholder Women and Youth Farmers on Rice Postharvest Management & Marketing, in short called RIPOMA. The project's overall objective is to contribute to economic development and reducing poverty in the Southern Agriculture Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT) through improved rice value chains and market linkages of smallholder farmers. Its specific objective is to increase competitiveness and improve postharvest management (PHM) of smallholder farmers (particularly women and youth) in rice value chains in Morogoro region, Kilosa and Mvomero districts in particular. 

HELVETAS now invites applications from qualified and dynamic Tanzanian citizens for the following positions. 

Position : Project Manager (PM) 
Duty station : Morogoro (30% of time outside of office or field monitoring) 
Qualification : Master Degree in any field but with Agriculture background would be an advantage Experience : At least 10 years working experience in development projects including 5 years in management position in INGOs 

Position : Project Officer- Monitoring Evaluation Research & Learning (PO-M&E) 
Duty station : Morogoro (40% of time outside of office or field monitoring) 
Qualification : At least Bachelor degree in community development, rural development, agribusiness, business administration, statistics or another related field 
Experience : Minimum 5 years of professional experience, of which at least 3 years in M&E role coordination with INGOs
