MAINTENANCE OFFICER – ESAMI ARUSHA

The Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute seeks the services of a suitably
qualified person to fill the post of maintenance officer at its headquarter in Arusha

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the manager, finance and administration the maintenance officer shall be responsible for undertaking a wide range of the maintenance activities related to the maintenance of the institute buildings, equipment facilities and upkeep of the estates
i.    Ensuring effective and efficient operations of the institute equipment such as Boiler, generator water pump laundry machines fire equipment’s
ii.    Handling electrical and plumbing works
iii.    Carrying our maintenance and repairs to structural mechanical and electrical systems boilers, heating and ventilation system building
iv.    Monitoring utilities consumption and ensure the efficient use of the  institute resources
v.    Ensure all relevant  health and safety regulations are complied with
vi.    Preparations of maintenance budget
vii.    Ensure the institute boreholes are in good running condition
viii.    Any other duties as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of a diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualifications with 5 years experience in maintenance related duties in reputable organization

COMPETENCE AND SKILLS
-    Demonstrated  knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and electrical systems
-    Demonstrated  knowledge and understanding of utilities and ability to safe operate electricity gas, water system, plant and equipment
-    Electrical and mechanical skills
-    Knowledge of fire and safety regulations
-    Planning organizations skills
-    Demonstrated knowledge and experience on boiler operations
-    Demonstrated knowledge and experience of borehole functions
