Data Quality Assistant

Marie Stopes Tanzania (MST) is the Non-governmental Organization dully registered under the law of Tanzania, and it is centered in a marketing-focused, results-oriented social enterprise, which uses modern management and marketing techniques to provide family planning, reproductive and sexual healthcare and allied services. MST is a member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Global Partnership, which operates in over 37 countries worldwide. MST’s goal is to improve quality of life in Tanzania by dramatically improving access to and use of family planning and other reproductive health services.

We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our highly motivated team in the following role; Part- Time Data Quality Auditing (DQA);

JOB PURPOSE:
The Assistant data quality auditors are responsible for supporting monitoring and evaluation activities for Marie Stopes Tanzania (MST) core business and projects and reports to ME Manager. As a member of M&E team, the Assistant data quality auditor will work closely with ME team, to ensure the attainment of MST goals and objectives though closer involvement in data verification..

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recount service delivery numbers in outreach offices
Recount service delivery numbers in government facilities and compare them with our documents and the audit was conducted from
Support and conduct on-site verification of ALL data submitted by service providers
Reviews and verifies source documents from field to determine accuracy and completeness of information.
Comparing data from MTUHA and data reported by Outreach teams to support office

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications and experience:
•    Minimum Qualification is Bachelor Degree in Statistics or Demography, Sociology, health management or other related field from a recognized institution
•    Proven working experience on Data quality assurance with a reputable international organization
•    Technical skills and general understanding of project Monitoring and Evaluation
•    Experience in using DQA tools
•    Technical skills in using different MIS
•    Consideration will be given to candidates with additional years of experience in conducting project data quality audit
•    Must be familiar with working in rural areas with focus on participatory processes
•    Must have excellent communication/interactive skills that function well independently, as well as with the team
•    Ability to travel to rural areas

Skills:
•    Good written and oral communication in both English and Kiswahili
•    Proven ability to interpret verbal, written and numerical data
•    Fluent in English and Swahili both oral and written
•    IT literacy – proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel (essential)
•    Good analytical skills
