Your Next Career Opportunity – Regional Site Specialist II, International
This position is responsible for coordinating and planning the routes and the preventive and corrective maintenance of the sites owned by SBA in the assigned geographic area of the position. This position should also ensure that the condition of the towers meets industry and SBA standards.
What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities
- Continual auditing/ updating of site information across databases to ensure the most up-to-date and accurate information is available for all tower sites.
- Resolve and/or attempt to resolve all safety, regulatory, and operational issues, or discrepancies. If unable to resolve, report to management with recommendations for action.
- Schedules and coordinate attention to emergencies caused by natural disasters including sending contractors to diagnose and solve problems in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures
- Work closely with Collocation Regional Site Manager to ensure that tower space and ground space are being used efficiently.
- Create and update tower site drawings.
- Manage the efficient repair, maintenance, inspection, security, and safe operation of all tower assets.
- Coordinate 3rd-party contractors for site inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all site assets and equipment including the tower, compound, lighting systems, generators, HVAC units, and power supplies.
- Support the tenant leasing process by working with the SBA team to analyze applications and perform the necessary site due diligence in an effort to approve the application from a physical perspective.
- Work closely with current and prospective tenants providing good customer experience when dealing with SBA assets.
- Review and approve Notice to Proceed (NTP) requests ensuring SBA policies and procedures are followed including the scope of work, review of construction drawings, building permits, rigging plans, review of closeout packages, etc.
- Perform site audits to ensure tenant compliance per the lease agreement with Tenant Installation Notices (TINs)
- Audits of existing sites that will be acquired by SBA (including the preparation of a photographic report and repair matrix).
- Keep relations with ground owners positive and act as an intermediary between the Company and the ground owners.
- Work with other departments as requested including Compliance, NOCC, Title, and MandA, where applicable.
- Responsible for maintaining the company's vehicle and tools in optimal condition and in accordance with SBA policies.
- H.S. Diploma/GED required; Bachelors degree preferred.
- 3-5 years construction knowledge pertaining to cellular towers, lighting systems, generators, HVAC units, and power supplies. Three (3) or more years of relevant field operations experience.
- Certified Civil Engineer-CESB preferred
- Architect Certification preferred
- Electrical Test Technician Certification preferred
- Licensed Real Estate Agent Preferred
