We are looking for a dedicated and professional Mechanical Engineering Intern for our Mwanza office who has the following skills and experience. 


Mechanical Engineering Intern

Location: Mwanza office, Tanzania. 


The Mechanical Engineering Intern for undertaking all relevant duties at Mwanza office under the supervision of Maintenance Supervisor/Manager to ensure the maintenance planning, design and drafting work on priority projects is up and done in accordance with mining regulations and relevant Capital Operating Standards.


Responsibilities

    Responsible for all Maintenance planning, product designing and drafting work on priority projects
    Accountable for own day-to-day safety and adherence to all Company safety regulations pertaining to site operations
    Provide data and feedback to Maintenance Manager
    Ensure the fleet is maintained to a standard that preserves the integrity of the equipment and does not compromise safe operations
    Ensure that Company maintains plans and drawings for mobile equipment
    Assist the Maintenance Manager by providing technical advice, data and history
    Perform other duties as required by management
    Make sure the company is 100% compliant with existing policies and laws


Requirements:

    Experience with AutoCAD product design suite (Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault)
    Ability to manage design, design changes and work autonomously to achieve designated outcomes
    Mechatronics would be highly regarded
    Ability to communicate and report on projects under their control
    Ability to work within a collaborative and team environment
    Degree in Mechanical Engineering
    Proven work experience in Maintenance Engineering related role within the drilling / mining industry will be an added advantage
    Experience working in multinational and culturally diverse environments
    Must be fit and able to perform the inherent requirements of the job
