Role Purpose: Lead and coordinate the underwriting department; set and enforce underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures; monitor performance, quality, compliance, and issuance of policies and reinsurance placements.

Key Duties:
• Review and accept risk proposals that meet company standards.
• Ensure risks are placed within treaty and facultative reinsurance programmes.
• Develop business through client/broker engagement and renewals strategy.
• Manage reinsurance reporting, claims recoveries, and reinsurance statistics.
• Support training of agents and internal staff on insurance underwriting and products.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Insurance/Risk Management/Actuarial preferred), professional qualification advantageous, ~6+ years insurance/reinsurance experience with leadership competence
