Oil and Gas industry Jobs Tanzania

DEPUTY LAB MANAGER (OIL & GAS INDUSTRY)
HR World Limited on behalf of our client Oil and gas Industry we are looking for a Deputy Lab Manager who will conduct quality analysis tests of raw materials and blended products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for conducting various pre-inspection quality tests of incoming raw materials i.e. base oils and additives.
2. Responsible for supervising pilot blending when verifying new formulations and recommending any necessary adjustments.
3. Responsible for supervising routine laboratory activities eg. Preparation of working chemical solutions, analyzing samples from blending section.
4. Responsible for supervision of calibration of laboratory equipment and apparatus as per calibration procedures.
5. Responsible for documentation of data and entering and completion of data into Laboratory Information Management System, JDE.
6. Responsible for coordinating and controlling stock position of chemicals, glassware and other consumables.
7. Responsible for analyzing used oil, kerosene, IDO, Hfo, Gasoil, Petrol from  Depot and other customers
8. Responsible for DM Water quality monitoring, coolant concentrate dissolution for different coolant products, their testing.
9. Responsible for ISO 4406 standards of lubes filtration, quality sampling, testing and compliance in lubes blending and filling. Supervise controls to achieve ISO 18/16/13 levels or better.
10. Responsible for supervising good housekeeping, safety and security of allocated areas.
11. Timely Inspections to the blending and filling sections on reducing non conformit

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in Chemistry or related
• Minimum four years’ experience
• Experience in oil industry
• Computer literate – Windows, MS Applications 
• Ability to accurately test samples
