Description
Role: Finance Officer will oversee the financial aspects of the project, ensuring that the
paperwork submitted for payment is donor compliant, financial reports are submitted in a timely manner and sufficient liquidity is available at all times. He/she will dedicate 100% of her/his time to the project both in Kishapu and Kibondo. He/she will be stationed at the head office in Dar es Salaam where he will oversee and control the financial operations for the two offices centrally from the head office.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
Experience using financial software
Advanced MS Excel skills
Knowledge of financial regulations
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Sharp time management skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
Our ideal candidate demonstrates interest in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
You should also have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.
Good knowledge of humanitarian principles, emergency response, rehabilitation and recovery.
BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

Main Responsibilities
Keep accurate records for all daily transactions
Prepare balance sheets
Process invoices
Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
Update internal systems with financial data
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
Reconcile bank statements
Participate in financial audits
Track bank deposits and payments
Assist with budget preparation
Review and implement financial policies
Compile the necessary monthly, quarterly and annual reports for forwarding to the Project Manager/Coordinator.
