Tanzania Rural and Urban Road Agency (TARURA) is an Excecutive Agency of the President's Office, Regional Administration and Local Government, (PO-TALG), established under Section 3 (1) of the Executive Agencies Act. (Cap. 245) by Order published in Government Notice No.211 dated May 12, 2017; and was inaugurated on July 02, 2017. Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) is vested with the responsibility of managing the development, rehabilitation, mantanance, exle load control; environmental and road reserve management of rural and urban roads network for the socio-economic development of Tanzania
The Chief Executive intends to recruit self motivated, qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill the following vacant posts on temporally contacts
1.0 Position Title: ROADS ENGINEER II (45)
Duty Station: Arusha, Pwani, Dodoma, Iringa, Njombe, Kagera, Kigoma, Kilimanjaro, Lindi, Manyara, Mara, Mbeya, Songwe, Morogoro, Mtwara, Mwanza, Geita, Katavi, Ruvuma, Simiyu, Singida, Tanga and TARURA Headquarter
Education /Professional qualifications:-
i. A National Form IV/VI certificate
ii. Holder of Bachelor in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution and has been registered with Engineers Registation Board (ERB) as a Professional Engineer. The candidate must be computer literate.
iii. Fluent in both Kiswahili and English.
Must be a Tanzanian Citizen
Work Experience: Not less than 3 years in roads development and maintenance projects
Age Limit: Not above 45 years of Age.
Salary: According to TARURA interim scale.
Duties and Responsibilities;
i. To assist in preparation of tender documents for procurement of Work contractors.
ii. To undertake road inventory, condition and traffic count survey;
iii. To supervise contractor at site and force account operations;
iv. To attend regular site meetings and prepare minutes;
v. To manage quality control of mantanance of roads, bridge and construction materials;
vi. To prepare TARURA road and bridge mantenance plans and budgets;
vii. To manage road reserve areas and car park spaces;
viii. To assess emergency works recommend appropriate intervention and cost;
ix. To perform such other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
2.0 Position Title: ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANTS - (30 POSTS)
Duty Station: Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Rukwa, Shinyanga, Tabora, Pwani, Dodoma, Iringa, Njombe, Kagera, Kigoma, Kilimanjaro, Lindi, Manyara, Mara, Mbeya, Songwe, Morogoro, Mtwara, Mwanza, Geita, Katavi, Ruvuma, Simiyu, Singida, Tanga and Tarura Headquarter
Education/Professional Qualifications:-
i. A National Form IV/VI certificate;
ii. Holder of Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from recognized Institutions or module D issued by NBAA or equivalent accounting qualification.
iii. Fluent in both Kiswahili and English
iv. Must be Tanzanian Citizen
Work Experience: Atleast 2 years in related field.
Age Limit: Not above 45 years of Age
Salary: According to TARURA interim scale
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. To prepare financial statements;
ii. To prepare bank reconciliation statements;
iii. To prepare salaries and wages reports;
iv. To maintain fixed assets register and ensure that is up to date
v. To prepare age analysis reports;
vi. To maintain staff imprest records and retirements;
vii. To perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
3.0 Position Title: ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - (5 POSTS)
Duty station: Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Mbeya, Tanga, Mwanza and Dodoma
Education/Professional qualifications:-
i. A National Form IV/VI certificate;
ii. Holder of Diploma in Accountancy from recognized institutions or ATEC and recognized by NBAA or equivalent accounting qualification.
iii. Fluent in both Kiswahili and English;
iv. Must be a Tanzanian Citizen.
Work experience: Atleast 2 years in related field.
Age limit: Not above 35 years
Salary: According to TARURA interim scale
Duties and Responsibilities:i. To prepare revenue and expenditure reposts;
ii. To prepare payment vouchers.
iii. To issue receipts for fund received and obtain acknowledgement for funds paid;
iv. To maintain staff imprest records and retirements;
v. To respond audit queries;
vi. To arrange accounts files in storage places;
vii. To perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
4.0 Position Title: PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES OFFICER II (17 POSTS)Duty stations: Pwani, Dodoma, Iringa, Njombe, Kagera, Kilimanjaro, Lindi, Mara, Mbeya, Songwe, Morogoro, Mtwara, Geita, Ruvuma, Simiyu, Singida and Tanga
Educational Professional qualifications:-
i. A National Form V/VI certificate;
ii. Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Prourement and Supplies, Materials Management, Logistics Management, Business Administration (majoring in Procurement and Supplies), or equivalent qualification from recognized institution. He/she must be computer literate;
iii. Fluent in both Kiswahili and English; and
iv. Must be a Tanzanian Citizen
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. To collect quotations from different suppliers/producers
ii. To prepare purchase orders.
iii. To process requisitions and replenishment requisitions.
iv. To purchase and receive goods from suppliers.
v. To prepare statistical analysis of purchases.
vi. To participate in preparation of consolidated procurement performance report for TARURA
vii. To prepare all monthly and yearly financial reports such as physical stores reports.
viii. To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

5.0 Position Title: LAND SURVEYOR II (1 POST)
Duty stations: TARURA Headquarter
Educational/Proffesional qualifications
i. A National Form IV/VI certificate.
ii. Bsc in Land Surveying or Geomatics from any recognized University. Must be registered with the National Council for Professional Surveyors.
iii. Fluent in both Kiswahili and English and
iv. Must be a Tanzanian Citizen
i. To check the correctness of the vertical and horizonatl profiles as designed by the TARURA Council Managers or Design Consultant and proposes modifications where necessary
ii. To assist the TARURA Council to carry out field reconnaissance surveyors to ascertain field conditions and special features requiring the Employer's special attention prior to construction of the Works.
iii. To review the Design reposts submitted by the TARURA Council and Design Consultants and propose ammendments where necessary;
iv. To verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites in particular eathworks quantities in collaboration with the Quality Surveyors.
V. To direct or conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for roads under TARURA jurisdiction;
vi. To provide technical guidelines on surveys regarding roads construction;
vii. To Rural and Urban Roads survey activities
viii. To perform any other duties related to his/her expertise as instructed bt the Employer
Work Experience: 3 years in related field

Salary: According to TARURA interim scale.
