CHANNEL BUSINESS OFFICER - FINCA 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Oversee the day-to-day operations at the branch level with regards to channels (Mobile Payments and Agency Banking operations
  • During field visit CBO should conduct remote account opening (RAO) at agent business premise
  • Ensure accurate processing, handling and monitoring of Mobile Payment and Agent liquidity levels transactions, including exceptions, rejects, refunds, disputes etc
  • Manage and register “pipeline” of Agents
  • Maintain database of Agent agreements
  • Ensure daily checks are done on new and modified customer enrollments for Mobile Payments and POS
  • Support incoming sales requests from the branches for set up of new POS Agents and ensure all materials for Agents to start up are dispatched and delivered to Channel Business Manager timely
  • Supports the set up and maintenance of a Service Catalogue and Service Level Agreement structure for Mobile Payments and Agents operations
  • Support the Channel Business Manager with the development of the business strategy for Channels
  • Support the Channel Business Manager in the development and maintenance of effective internal controls consistent with the Risk Management Policy
  • Ensure compliance with internal policy and procedures for all channels and escalates risks and issues to Channel Business Manager
  • Manage overall stock levels for POS terminals, POS paper rolls and Channels related marketing materials (e.g. posters, brochures, signage etc)
  • Report on key performance criteria in line with strategic KPI’s derived from the business strategy for Channels
  • Prepare recurring and ad-hoc management reporting for Channels Business Manager and Branch Management Team
  • Conduct regular visits to Agents as per the schedule plan and communicate with them to keep them informed on FINCA promotions, new policies or any other news from FINCA relevant to their business-Create awareness, promote and (cross) sell FINCA’s Channel value proposition
  • Monitor and manage performance of channels linked to your branch
  • Conduct (remedial) training with Agents and customers on channels usage
  • In collaboration with branch sales team drive uptake through organization of sales runs for account opening and introduction of existing FINCA customers to Agency and Mobile banking channels
  • Ensure Channels marketing materials and signage’s are properly displayed and used


Job Requirements
Knowledge and Education:

Education
Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma

Job Skills/Competency:
Work Experience
Minimum of 1 year work experience in financial /banking sector
Previous experience in Alternative channels is an added advantage
