BULLDOZER OPERATOR

KaziniKwetu Ltd on behalf of client is looking for bulldozer operator. Our client is a reputable
international construction company. All qualified candidates should apply online.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the dozer and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Understand, interpret and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
Operate dozer controls to regulate height and angle of the dozer blade to loosen packed soil to permit grading. 
Feel levers and listen to equipment sounds to determine depth of the cut.
Drive Dozer in successive passes over construction surface to raise or lower terrain to specified grade, following markings on grade stakes or hand signals. 
Use the Dozer to level soil, move rock and debris, and scoop soil.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the grader.
Demonstrate an understanding of grades and interpret roadway plans and drawings.
 Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years’ experience within the road construction industry
2 to 3 years’ experience operating a Dozer is required.
Technical Knowledge of Dozer and other heavy equipment.
Knowledge road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements.
Heavy Equipment Operation 
Multi-task and set priorities effectively
Excellent hand, eye and foot coordination
Out of town travel is required.
