Job description

Reporting to Head-Retail Banking, the incumbent shall plan, manage, lead and direct the Bancassurance business across all the Banks’ touch points, to achieve set business targets

.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Marketing of all insurance products in the Bank (Life & General).
• Ensure appropriate Bancassurance Structure.
• Develop and execute an overall Business Plan.
• Active management of relationships with all insurance partners.
• Periodic reporting of Bancassurance financials.
• Ensuring Compliance with Local Insurance regulations, policies and procedures.
• Manage marketing programmes in line with business objectives (premiums, commissions, product type, number of policies)
• Train Marketing Officers on Bancassurance products.
• Responsible for all reporting as required by the regulator – TIRA/in-house/ etc.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree holder with relevant insurance certification.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

• At least 5-10-year experience in the Insurance Industry of which 3 to 5 years at a Managerial level.
• Good understanding of Insurance market in Tanzania and local laws governing Insurance.
• Excellent management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen, people & project management skills.
