Summary
FACTS Africa is a fast growing Supply Chain Finance intermediary with operations in Kenya and Uganda. We provide access to working capital for SMEs, emerging entrepreneurs and agribusinesses and we work often in close collaboration with banks. Technology is at the core of our value proposition. FACTS is expanding its business to Tanzania, and has recently opened a local office in Dar es Salaam. To support the growth of our operations in Tanzania, we are looking for a Business Development Manager - Supply Chain Finance.
Responsibilities
This Business Development Manager will be driving client origination, account management and partnership development, and will be responsible for:
  • Identification of new market opportunities and mapping them for uptake in the business;
  • Recruitment of quality clients according to the set targets, in line with the policies and guidelines of the company;
  • Ensuring profitable portfolio growth in order to maximize returns and to minimize costs;
  • Establishing and monitoring performance of all product lines to ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Talent management including inspiring, coaching, mentoring, developing and evaluating the departmental team in order to achieve highest levels of performance;
  • Working and interfacing seamlessly with other FACTS team members for goal congruence;
  • Ensuring proper documentation of all clients under review and in pre-funding stage;
  • Preparing of budgets and targets for approval by the board;
  • Preparing of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and any other business development related reports as may be required by the supervisor;
  • Analyzing markets and provision of market intelligence to the supervisor for innovation and decision making.
Requirements
We are looking for a Tanzanian national with the following qualifications:
  • A university degree in a relevant field;
  • Five years of relevant sales or business development experience at a leading bank;
  • Knowledge of value chains, trade finance and credit processes;
  • Affinity with agriculture and healthcare sectors;
  • Excellent business development, commercial strategy development and analytical skills;
  • A team player that is a strong representative of the FACTS Tanzania organization;
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili;
  • A passion for customer satisfaction, a winners mentality and a drive to deliver on the promise.
