Reports To: The Brewing Manager

Location: Moshi

Context/Scope
SBL is operating in an FMCG environment in which it controls more than 20% of the existing local market, with a huge potential for further growth, both within and outside the country. It now has all its production operations carried out fully on three sites.
The company sells most of its products mainly in the local market. The company has also expanded its packaging capacity over to 1.2 Million hectolitres with some of the imported SKU’s to be produced locally.
Purpose of the role
  • Liaise with stores Department on site to manage all materials required in the brewing process to ensure availability as per the production plans to enable process continuity.
  • Manage all material movements in SAP - work-in-progress (WIP) to avail finished goods in time for sales.
  • Coordinate perpetual stock take and work with the Brewing team to complete all investigations for materials variances against planned usages as per approved BOMs and avail information for planning.
  • Monitor and generate reports relating to production performance against agreed key performance indicators (KPIs)
Top Accountabilities
  • Manage SAP system as a production / Accounting tool
  • Liaise with business information systems to ensure system is delivering to the expectations.
  • Coordinate routine update of system with new items by liaising with users and Data Maintenance.
  • Availability of WIP and finished goods at the right place/stage at the right time:
  • Ensure materials are timely and accurately costed into the system
  • Coordinate with stores to ensure perpetual stocks are taken and entered into the system.
  • Ensure that perpetual stock take of WIP and materials are taken, and reconciled production and material usage figures are entered into the system to reflect accurate activity costs weekly as required by the Supply Finance procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum Diploma in Food Science
  • Certificate in IBD qualifications an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in production operations of not less than 3 years, 2 of which must have been spent on demonstrated management of Production
  • Knowledge of manufacturing SAP Application.
