JOB VACANCY SAFETY & SECURITY COORDINATOR THE AGA KHAN UNIVERSITY

The Aga Khan University is a private, non –profit international University first established in 1983 with 13 teaching sites in 8 countries. It is a non –denominational institutions open to all irrespective or religion, ethnicity, gender or national origin. Since 2001 AKU has offered academic programmers in nursing medicine and educations for and in countries in Ease Africa

The safety & security coordinator will be responsible manager overall safety and the security at AKU campuses in Dar es Salaam Tanzania by identifying risk and developing action plan to mitigate potential risk to human and physical asset of university.. this position will be supported and report through the manager, general administrations supervise and train the outsourced security staff on security related subjects and provide a secure environment through an effective access control and efficient traffic management. Ensure implementation of AKU global security program by developing safety and security plans

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Carry out hazard and vulnerability analysis and threat and risk analysis every year and develop action to mitigate potential safety hazards security risk and threats to personnel and AKU properties in timely and cost effective manner

· Carry out safety and security GAAP analysis of AKU campuses in Dar es Salaam Tanzania and prepared survey reports with recommendations for bridging the gap

· Maintain of the safety management policies and procedure to ensure compliance with OSHA & fire rescuer force standards and applicable laws regulations

· Develop annual safety goals and objectives prepare strategies to accomplish goals to accomplish goals and monitor the progress on quarterly basis

· Record, investigate and evaluate incident and prepare quarterly incident analyst report

· Develop implement effective information’s management system comprising collection processing and disseminations’ stages

· Conduct regular safety and security awareness session for employees and students

· Operate and maintain all security equipment and security systems to be in good operational and functional conditions at all time

· Ensure a 24/7 emergency response to all security related incident through the campus

· Any other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
