ASSISTANT PROCESSING MANAGER KILOMBERO VALLLEY TEAK CO. LTD

KVTC is the largest grower of teak in Africa and has established plantations in Tanzania since 1992 the company manages teak plantations natural woodlands as well as the timber is the largest exporter of timber products from Tanzania and employs around 300 people for the more information’s  go on www.kvtc-tz.com

FUNCTIONS

1.       PROCESSING PLANT

-          Report to the processing manager

-          Oversees the supervisor in the four processing sections

-          Key performance area

-          Value creations

-          Yield and recovery

-          Follow up on productions related plans leading, organizing and control of daily shift activities

-          Housekeeping inspections

-          Stock control

2.       BUDGET FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

-          Support the processing manager in the implementations of physical and financial budgets

3.       OTHER

-          Perform other duties as requested by the processing manager or his/her designate

CANDIDATE PROFILE

QUALIFICATIONS

-          BSC, Diploma in mechanical engineering, process management wood processing technology or other relevant educations

SKILLS

-          Fluent in English and Kiswahili

-          Computer literate – this is on position with very limited office work

-          Coaching and leadership skills

EXPERIENCE AND ABILITY

-          Tanzania national

-          Preferably worked in forestry or agro-processing industry or  other industrial environment

-          Work experience 3-5 years

-          Experience with forestry and certification systems

-          Ability to work in remote and challenging conditions
