Key Responsibilities
As a Country Finance Manager, the role holder will be accountable for end‑to‑end financial controlling and finance operations at country level, ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strong governance while acting as a trusted partner to the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading statutory financial accounting and reporting in line with local regulations and APMM GAAP
Ensuring accurate documentation and governance of provisions, balances, and one‑off transactions
Overseeing tax compliance, supporting assessments, and ensuring timely filings
Managing end‑to‑end finance processes for non‑GSC entities (until offshored)
Driving SG&A cost reporting and control for both FTE and non‑FTE costs
Managing CAPEX reporting, controlling, and JV performance oversight
Acting as a finance advisor to business functions on financial procedures, investment proposals, and sustainability reporting
Owning financial risk management, including documenting and reviewing balance sheet and P&L risks
Leading local audit activities and ensuring timely closure of audit observations
Serving as the frontline anchor for RICC controls in collaboration with Area stakeholders
Supporting working capital management, cash flow optimisation, and liquidity governance
Contributing to finance transformation initiatives and continuous process improvement
Who We Are Looking For
Maersk is looking for a finance professional who combines technical strength with sound judgement, strong ownership, and the ability to operate confidently in a complex, matrixed organization.
The ideal candidate brings:
A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
At least 5 years of relevant professional finance experience
Strong knowledge of financial accounting, controlling, and local regulatory requirements
Experience working with audits, risk management frameworks, and internal controls
High attention to detail with the ability to structure and present financial information clearly
Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making capability
Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures
High levels of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
Strong written and spoken English communication skills
A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge, influence, and improve ways of working
