Mzumbe University invites applications from suitably qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill the following vacant posts:


1. TUTORIAL ASSISTANT - (15 Posts) 
2. LIBRARIAN TRAINEE - (1 Post)

(a) Qualification and Experience 
 Holder of First Degree or equivalent qualification from accredited and recognized Institution with a minimum GPA of 3.8 or its equivalent, and must have scored a B+ in the relevant subject.

(b) Duties and Responsibilities 

This is a training post; the staff is required to;-
 Understudy senior members in attending lectures seminars, tutorials or practical training
 Conduct tutorials, seminars and practicals;
 Assist in preparing case studies;
 Participate in curriculum development and review; and
 Assist in research, consultancy and outreach activities.

(c) Salary scale PUTS 1.1
(d) Areas of Specialization:

(i) Faculty of Science and Technology: (5 Posts) 
Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering;
Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering Management;
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering; 
Bachelor degree in Production Engineering;

Bachelor degree in Production and Operations Management; 
Bachelor degree in Computer Science;
Bachelor degree in Library and Information Science;
Bachelor degree in Library and Information Management or
Bachelor degree in Information and Records Management.

(ii) Faculty of Social Sciences: (3 Posts)
Bachelor degree in Education with Commerce as teaching subject;
Bachelor degree in Education with Accountancy as a teaching subject;
Bachelor degree in Education with both Commerce and Accountancy as teaching subjects;
Bachelor degree in Commerce, Accountancy and/or Economics with Education or
Bachelor degree in Education with Economics or Economics & Mathematics as teaching subjects. 

(iii) Mbeya Campus College: (3 Posts)
Bachelor degree in Statistics or Mathematics;
Bachelor degree in Marketing or
Bachelor degree in Communication Skills. 

(iv) School of Public Administration and Management: (2 Posts)
Bachelor degree in Records and Archives Management;
Bachelor degree in Records and Archives Studies;
Bachelor degree in Records Management or
Bachelor degree in Archives and Records Administration.

(v) School of Business: (2 Posts)
Bachelor degree in Accountancy and Finance (Business or Public Sector);
Bachelor degree in Commerce (Accounting);
Bachelor degree in Business Administration (Accounting) or Bachelor degree in Accounting.

(vi) Directorate of Library and Technical Services - Librarian Trainee: (1 Post) 
Bachelor degree in Librarianship or Information Studies and ICT.
