ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking a Specialist in Operations Management and Marketing for an upcoming
Service Learning Corps Assignment in Tanzania. Asuke Rice Mill is requesting requests volunteer assistance to improve their business operations and develop a marketing plan. The volunteer will assist the company to formulate a budget, review their organization structure, and will write human resources management and operations manuals. The volunteer will also identify potential markets and develop marketing and branding strategies. This assignment will last for 3 months.
Provisions for the Volunteer: All international and local travel Lodging and Meals Travel Visa (if applicable) Emergency Medical Insurance In-country support from field office staff Local cell phone to use during assignment
Qualifications
  • Graduate/Ph.D. student or recent graduate in Business or other related program.
  • Expertise (work or educational experience) in business operations, marketing, advertising or finance.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word , Excel and PowerPoint

  • The volunteer should be prepared to live in rural communities without internet and other amenities.
  • Previous experience working in Africa is preferred but not required.
