NEW JOBS DIRECTOR GENERAL – MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY, TRADE AND INESTMENT

The fair competition commission is a body corporate established under section 62 of the fair competition Act No. 8 of 2003. The commission aims to enhance welfare of the people of Tanzania as whole by promoting and protecting effective

competition in marketing and preventing unfair and misleading market conduct throughout Tanzania in order to 
a)    Increase efficiently in the productions, distribution of goods and services
b)    Promote innovations
c)    Maximize the efficient allocations of resources and 
d)    Protect consumers

According to the section 62(7) of the fair competition Act read together with the lead together with the 1st and 2nd schedule to the Act the minister for industry, trade and investment hereby invite qualified and competent Tanzanian to apply to fill the post of director general of the fair competition commission

QUALIFICATIONS AND FUCNTIONS

A person as a director shall
i.    Be a graduate of a recognized and accredit university
ii.    Possess experience of at least 3 years in one or more in the fields of management law, economics or finance
iii.    Satisfy the board that the is unlikely to have a conflict of interest as provide under sections 66 of  the fair competition Act
iv.    Be willing to serve as the director general
v.    Be in the opinion, of the board , well suited to perform the functions  and duties of the office of the director general competently and honestly
vi.    Be a person of proven integrity
vii.    The director general shall also be the  chief executive officer of the commission  and shall not  engage in any other paid employment
viii.    Shall be responsible  for the day-to day operations of the office of the commission subject
ix.    Implement government policies and priorities one on the hand  and the commission  mission and vision of the board

All applicant from suitable candidates should be enclosed certified copied of relevant certificates/testimonials and envelope should be marked on top of FCC DIRECTOR GENERAL and should reach the undersigned before 31st August 2017.
