About Kilimo Trust
Kilimo Trust (www.kilimotrust.org) (hereinafter referred to as the Trust) is a Regional Agricultural Development
organization, implementing public and private sector supported programs and projects. Based in Kampala, Uganda, KT is focused on developing and promoting regional solutions to local problems by providing leadership in actual implementation of programs and projects on behalf of or in partnership with governments, international and regional organizations and the private sector.

Staff categories
KT workforce is made up of three (3) categories of staff.
• Internationally recruited staff
• Regionally recruited staff and
• Nationally recruited staff
How to apply for a position:
Job vacancy: When a position becomes available, we advertise in the KT website (www.kilimotrust.org) and also in the print media.
Application for position: The applicants are then required to submit their details as requested in the advertisement to the Trusts recruiting partner (currently adept systems). The submission could be mail, by post or even hand as long as it is within the specified deadline.
Evaluation of the application: The application is then evaluated in terms of experience, education and skills. If your application is found suitable, you get shortlisted for an interview at a specified date and venue as is communicated by the short listing agent. Currently, the trust undertakes its interviews at the organization’s head quarters in Kampala Uganda. Interviewers: The interviews are conducted by a panel comprising the HR committee of the board of trustees and the recruiting agent. Selection notification: If selected you are notified via Email and phone a call. You are also given an opportunity to clarify any other issues as may be unclear.
Reference checks: Appointment at Kilimo Trust is subject to satisfactory and complete verification of academic qualifications and employment. If you are a candidate under closer consideration, reference checks will be conducted and you will be notified accordingly. Your current employer, is not contacted until you have actually been selected for and you have confirmed your interest in a position.
