Business Development & Account Manager
The role
To ensure the continuous growth and sustainability of the equipment sales within Mining to increase market share in Sales Area East Africa with effective management and control of accounts with the emphasis on profitability, quality and customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and motivate BD team to achieve annual budgeted margins for all segments
  • Submitting monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts to the various production units for all segments
  • Follow new projects and expansion projects with present customers.
  • Manage quotations and consolidated margins to all customers.
  • Prepare and co-ordinate the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Monitor and predict cash flow of business.
  • Attend to customer problems that have been escalated above account manager level
  • Build partnership with customers at low, middle and senior management levels
  • Continuously liaise with Customers on all relevant issues
  • Perform market analyses and determine market share
  • Learn as much about new equipment and their functionality and application as possible
  • Facilitate total solution provision to customer
Your profile 
  • A 3-year Degree / Diploma in Mining or Mechanical Engineering or Marketing Management
  • At least 10 years sales & marketing experience with mining and technical background
  • At least 5 years in a managerial position in a mining / technical or sales environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Sandvik as well as customers business
