M-KOPA is looking for a Training Manager to develop their team by identifying training needs, designing training content and delivering it to their teams. A key focus of this role will be supporting the sales team and distribution network through coaching and training. 

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a talented sales person who is passionate about training to grow their role as they fine tune their abilities. The successful applicant will be able to contribute towards M-KOPA’s mission to improve standards of living by empowering communities with affordable energy solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Detailed Responsibilities

Sales expertise and general business acumen

Evaluate the sales team, process and distribution network to identify opportunities to increase effectiveness through upskilling and training.
Identify training needs across several different departments, informed by their keen understanding of how business works
Analyze and interpret available market and sales data to spot trends and insights that impact employee training or create needs down the line.

Content development
Create training proposals to initiate learning. Design, create and deliver visually appealing content for training. Update existing training materials as needed. 
Customize training materials for different audiences. Deliver training in the field.
Ensure knowledge transfer by identifying key concepts to pass across, putting it into easily digestible training modules and evaluating the efficiency of training.

Team management
Mentor and coach the sales teams with the goal to optimize performance.
Recruit, train and lead the training department in ensuring the company's training needs are predicted and met.

Does this Sound Like You?
2 - 8 years experience in sales, with at least 1 year experience in Training and Coaching
1.5 years or more experience in a supervisory or management role a plus!
Enthusiastic and energetic team player
Able to travel 25% - 50% of their time within Tanzania
Fluent in Kiswahili
Computer proficient and knowledgeable in photo editing and graphics creation software
Skilled in creating and editing training materials
