To support our product innovation team at the MobiLab, we are looking for a
Technical Team Leader – Product Testing

Location: Arusha, Tanzania

Full time, indeterminate, as soon as possible

The MobiLab is a company-internal test and research facility, conducting product and services tests, as well as customer surveys. It therefore contributes to the development of new products and services, together with teams in the Mobisol Headquarter in Berlin, and the coordination of product introductions in Mobisol’s Country Offices. Within the MobiLab, the Technical Team Leader is responsible for organizing technical tests. Together with the technical team, he/she prepares and communicates test reports, product technical specifications and user requirements with various interfaces within the company.

Activities:

  •  Planning and managing technical specification tests
  •  Conducting and analyzing hardware and software tests
  •  Recommending product and service design from a technical and quality perspective
  •  Collecting feedback from relevant Mobisol departments (e.g. Hardware Development, Quality Assurance)
  •  Reporting to relevant Mobisol departments

Our requirements:

  •  Bachelor Degree in Electronics, Electrical Installations or any other related field
  •  Strong technical understanding of electronical hardware products and/or software products
  •  Professional experience in electronics
  •  Work experience in different testing methodology settings
  • Experience in technical communications across different countries
  •  Experience working with technical data in a company database
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes
  •    Knowledge of UART debugging software is a plus
  •  Computer literate with high level of Microsoft Office skills
  •  Fluency in English and Swahili
