Introduction
The Mtwara Medical Training Centre (Mtwara COTC) is a Public Health Training Institution established by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in 1983. The MMTC envisions becoming a centre of excellence in production of competent healthcare professionals, quality research and provision of consultancy to the governmental and nongovernmental organizations in health related matters. The MMTC through its various certificate and diploma courses, delivers and promotes high quality and competitive teaching and learning, research and innovation, and public service in Clinical Medicine, Health Management, Community Health and Pharmaceutical Sciences for enhanced value addition to people, while emphasizing entrepreneurship with a view to promoting better health for all in Tanzania.  

1. Employment opportunities
The MMTC invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered for immediate employment to fill the following vacant posts:

a). School of Pharmaceutical Sciences
            4 positions - Tutors

b). Qualifications and Experience:
·       Applicants must possess an Ordinary Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences from an Institution recognized by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).
·       S/he must also be registered by the Pharmacy Council of Tanzania.  
·       Three years working experience working in a teaching institution is an added advantage

c). Main duties and responsibilities include;
·        Carries out seminars, tutorials and practicals for certificate students
·        Assists in research, consultancy and public service;
·        Sets, invigilates and marks certificate examinations;
·        Supervises projects and practical training for certificate students;
·        Conducts research and publishes results;
·        Participates in relevant workshops and conferences;
·        Performs any other relevant duties assigned by one’s superior

2. TERMS OF SERVICE:
Full-time


3. REMUNERATION
Attractive package will be offered to the right candidate commensurate with his/her qualifications and experience.
