EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Women Fund Tanzania (WFT) is a not for profit organization and the first women’s rights fund in the country. As movement builders, and as an activist and feminist [1]organization, WFT’s overall goalis to contribute towards women’s rights and empowerment, and to women’s movement building through implementing a functional funding mechanism for women in Tanzania. Its strategic focus area is to implement this overall goal through making grants, strengthening women’s capacity, building strategic alliances and mobilizing resources.

Therefore, WFT promotes a grant making model, which offers an inclusive package of support to give voice and visibility to marginalized women on controversial issues. It does this through its two-way approach focusing on local level grant-making and on strategic national coalition building. This complementary and mutually reinforcing approach is not only strengthening the women’s movement in Tanzania in unprecedented ways, but is rapidly becoming an important driver in organizing for change through the coalitions under its strategic alliance building program.

To implement the 4 years Strategic Plan 2016 – 2019 (SP 16-19), WFT seeks for committed, self-driven, dynamic and competent qualified candidates to fill the vacancy of :
