HOPAC is an International Christian School, whose aim is to provide an excellent, Christ-centred, English medium education fulfilling international academic standards, equipping students to live out a Biblical worldview in all areas of their life to the glory of God. HOPAC is inviting applications from suitable qualified and self-motivated Tanzanians to apply for the following positions:
Service Learning Coordinator:
The Service Learning Coordinator is a member of the teaching staff and reports to the Secondary Principal. He/she is responsible for:
Overseeing and providing vi service learning program through all levels of the school, Kindergarten through Grade 12
Evaluating and advising on the service learning curriculum at every level, in conjunction with the Primary and Secondary Principals
Ensuring that service learning teachers are in place for each level, providing instructional assistance as necessary
Identifying and evaluating local opportunities for service within the surrounding community
Communicating and coordinating with mission personnel within Tanzania regarding service and partnership opportunities
Overseeing and/or delegating leadership of Service Emphasis Week
Helping in other areas of student life as required by Principal or Director
Attend staff meetings and in-service training days.
Pursue professional development through attendance at Cambridge and other courses as directed by school management.
Follow HOPACs procedures for professional development of staff through lesson observation and evaluation
Minimum qualifications
Committed evangelical Christian
Fluent in English
Bachelor degree
3 years formal teaching experience if on HOPAC permit; if second to HOPAC permit; if seconded to HOPAC by mission more informal teaching experience may be sufficient
Basic word processing skills
French Teacher
He/she reports to the Secondary Principal. All applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, English fluency, and at least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a multicultural setting. HOPAC follows the Cambridge curriculum.
HOPAC offers a modest compensation package.
