GEPF Retirement Benefits Fund is currently seeking to recruit suitably qualified and competent Tanzanian to fill existing vacancies. The job holder is expected to be dynamic, committed, honest, results oriented and perform
his/her duties in line with the Institution rules and regulations to ensure a better end results.
POSITION TITLE: RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT 1 (ONE POST)
Qualifications:
Holder of National Form IV NI certificate who has passed a Diploma course in Records Management or Library Studies fr’om recognized institution, with at least four (4) years working experience in a reputable Institution.

Should be computer literate and must have attended computer course in Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, E-Mail and Publisher
Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Receives incoming and outgoing mails and sorts them out;
(ii) Assigns reference numbers as appropriate, registers incoming and outgoing mails and dispatches them;
(iii) Assist in classification of records and boxing;
(iv) Maintain records and files in the registry;
(v) Keep files in cabinets and shelves;
(vi) Maintaining records of file movements;
(vii) Maintains and updates files movement registers;
(viii) Opens new and closes files as per approved procedures;
(ix) Performs any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

(ii) Provide technical support for the review and maintenance of the records management system for proper management of paper and electric systems;
(iii) Design and maintain regulations and procedures for access and retrieval of the Fund’s records;
(iv) Develop and review records maintenance and disposal policies and procedures;
(v) Verify authenticity and origin of correspondences and documents;
(vi) Advise appropriate methodology and technology for maintaining the Fund’s records;
(vii) Ensure all records are properly stored and secured;
(viii) Supervise and direct the dispatch and receipt of mails and documentation.
