To support our teams in Tanzania, Mobisol is looking for an

Accountant (f/m) based in Arusha

The Finance department is responsible for Mobisol’s cash management, the accounting of the Mobisol financials, as well as for the controlling in the country office. The main responsibility of the Accountant is the accurate accounting in the country office. This entails different task areas: Payable, Payroll, Tax & Compliance and Treasury.

YOUR TASKS

Accounts Payable

· Preparing and processing payments

· Ensuring accurate allocation of expenses by monitoring accounts and ensuring payments are up to date and within agreed terms

· Regular reporting on Accounts Payable outstanding’s to the Accountant Team Leader

· Preparing of Accounts Payable accounts for Audits

· Reconciling Accounts Payable accounts by managing the Mobisol bank accounts and creditors reconciliations

· Posting Mobisol invoices by receiving and verifying invoices, ensuring appropriate authorization is obtained and that all relevant supporting documentation is held

· Maintaining suppliers/vendors physical files: Supplier ledgers and Payment day books

· Corresponding with suppliers/vendors to resolve any issues

· Monthly counting and valuating stock

· Assisting Finance team with period end closing and other activities as required

Payroll

· Preparing employee payroll each month

· Preparing contractors payroll each month

· Monitoring and reconciling all Payroll accounts

· Preparing of Payroll accounts for Audits

· Assisting Finance team with period end closing and other activities as required

Tax & Compliance

· Point of contact for tax consultant and certified accountant/auditor for group

· Calculating of all taxation and levy obligations in compliance with national and international standards

· Preparation and submission of statutory returns

· Monitoring and reconciling of all taxation accounts

· Obtaining and maintaining records for all statutory license requirements

· Preparing of Taxation accounts and compliance issues for Audits

· Assisting Finance team with period end closing and other activities as required

Payments

· Preparing and processing cash and mobile money payments

· Ensuring accurate allocation of expenses

· Regular reporting on outstanding staff imprests to the Accountant Team Leader

· Preparing of petty cash and mobile money disbursement accounts for Audits

· Monitoring and reconciling staff imprest accounts, following up outstanding’s

· Preparation of payment postings, verifying requests, ensuring appropriate authorization is obtained and that all relevant supporting documentation is held

· Maintaining patty cash and mobile money disbursement account physical files

· Corresponding with employees to resolve any issues

· Monthly counting and valuating stock

· Assisting Finance team with period end closing and other activities as required

· Monitoring and reconciling petty cash as well as performing regular cash counts

· Preparing and processing disbursements

OUR REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a Finance related field

- At least 1 years working experience in an Accounting environment

- Certified public accountant (CPA) / Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

- Computer literate with high level of skill in Excel and practical experience with Accounting software

- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external parties on all levels

- Passion for Mobisol´s vision to plug in the world

- Fluency in English and Kiswahili
