About The Position

Job Purpose and Responsibilities:

Maintain and grow our current customer base in Tanzania for both the BWS (Beer, Wine and Spirits) category under the JF Hillebrand Brand, as well as the Industrial Bulk category under the Trans Ocean Brand.
Client Visits
  • Telephone calls.
  • Facilitate contact between operations and client.
  • Dealing with account queries.
  • Customer problem/conflict resolution.
  • Remain current and up to date with customers and their businesses - re-structuring / management changes / staff changes, financial stability etc.
  • Service Level Agreements - Implement and maintain where required.
  • Submission of quotes and follow-up
  • Client birthdays and special occasions.
Training
  • One to one training with clients where required - AXIS, Technical etc.
  • Internal training (Hillebrand / SPIF) - where necessary.
Market research
  • Market research - Remain current and up to date on industry changes - regulatory, statutory, financial, economic.
  • Competitor research/analysis. Understand comparative and strategic advantages of our competitors.
New Business Development
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing current customer base.
  • Trade-Land development between EHOS (Export Handling Offices) and destination markets.
  • Identify new clients and investigate their businesses to see if we can supply them with a solution.
  • Get to know competitor's clients to see why they prefer to work through the competitor and to see if we can supply them with a similar or better logistical solution.
Up-selling
  • Identify opportunities to increase GM on all business.
  • Understand and sell the full range of Hillebrand products and services (Both brands)
Relationship building
  • Ensuring loyalty from existing clients and developing new/stronger relationships with potential clients by developing close sincere relationships.
Reports/presentations
  • Monthly reports and quarterly presentations - as per KPI's
Business Analysis
  • Understand and analyse the business and the market using the Hillebrand Sales Platform.
  • Understand financial performance and modify strategy where it is required - understand the numbers and the 'drivers' thereof.
Salesforce/Calendar/Weekly planners
  • Update scheduled meetings in Outlook on a weekly basis
  • SFDC - Meeting notes must be entered into SFDC as per KPI's.
SFDC kept 100% up to date.
