Who are we?
Danish Refugee Councilis a leading protection agency pursuing our mandate to protect and
promotedurable solutions to displacement-affected populations on the basis ofhumanitarian principles and human rights. In the Middle East and North Africa(MENA), DRC apply a regional approach with operational presence in Libya,Tunisia, Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey and Iraq.- University education and/or training in a relevant field ( social sciences, political science, international relations or sociology)
- Solid experience in project management, monitoring, evaluation and report writing.
- Have at least two years of experience in community development, peace building, early recovery and stabilization and or emergency programming.
- Ability to work under pressure and priorities work responsibilities effectively.
- An understanding of relief, rehabilitation, development, gender and protection issues.
- Committed to being a team player and able to demonstrate constructive, cooperative and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of local dynamics that lead to conflict and instability within Salah-al Din
- Good communication and negotiation skills;
- High degree of computer literacy (mainly MS Word and MS Excel).
- Fluent in Arabic and excellent working knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Understanding of broader issues related to community participation, local governance, conflict analysis, safety, gender mainstreaming, and environment.
- Previous experience leading a similar program with and international NGO or UN organization
- Previous experience working with international government donors
