PwC Tanzania is looking to recruit a talented and dynamic professional for the position of Manager in the Assurance Line of
Service.

The overall responsibility of this role is to deliver audit and other non-audit services to clients, using PwC tools and practice methodologies.   
    
The Manager will play a key role in managing assignments  and providing a range of assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large corporate entities.  PwC clients are often well known brands, covering most industry areas, and many have broad international reach. The manager will also be involved in training, managing and appraising staff.  

The role provides a good opportunity for a qualified individual to develop personal knowledge and skills further, and gain exposure to working on a wide variety of clients and a wide range of work including external audit, internal audit and data assurance. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervising execution of engagements and ensuring compliance with PwC Audit methodology and relevant risk management standards.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients of the firm, understanding opportunities to assist with their issues.
  • Responsible for day to day management, client liaison and technical issues management of the external audit portfolio
  • Assisting to manage staffing of the job and engagement financial performance while ensuring that key deadlines are met
  • Responsible for coaching and development of the team members as well as supporting their professional growth.
  • Business development activities such as building relationships with target clients or involvement in preparation and presentation of the proposals.
   
Qualification and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university
  • Relevant professional qualification (CPA or ACCA)
  • Minimum of five years in providing professional assurance services in complex entities (listed entities, complex structured group, multi-location engagements)
  • Cross industry audit experience
  • Relevant technical knowledge – IFRS and IAS
  • Relevant industry knowledge and good understanding of the regulatory environment of the industry.
  • Audit methodology
  • Knowledge of audit risk management processes and policies
  • Experience in working outside local market for more than a year will be desirable
