Regional Aftersales Technical Manager - Position in Tanzania

Job Detail:

Our client is part of a large motor holding company. They are looking for an experienced Regional Manager with technical, training and aftersales support experience within the AUTOMOTIVE industry. The suitable applicant will have dealings with or has had dealings with OEM’s and dealership networks in the East Rand as well as with managing and training workshop staff.

This position requires extensive travel into East Africa (approx. 10 working days of a month).

Duties would include, but are not limited to:

Technical / After Sales support for various East African country dealerships:

· Workshop process implementation / training / monitoring

· New workshop implementations

· Work in progress monitoring

· Warranty monitoring

· Age analysis, claim verification

· Warranty analysis

· Workshop standards: implementation, monitoring

· Workshop optimisation / improvement

· Service marketing (fixed service schedules, etc.)

· Technical assistance (diagnostics / problem solving when required)

· Assistance with spare parts store process implementation / training / monitoring

· Volume target setting (assistance) / follow-up for workshop entries and spare parts

· Orders: process monitoring

Training:

· Technical training (as per train the trainer concept)

· Non-technical workshop training

Qualification / Experience / Requirements:
Relevant degree / diploma / certificate for a qualified motor mechanic / motor electrician (Master Technician referable)
Minimum 5 years extensive experience in the automotive workshop environment
