Head Of Business Development And Marketing
This is a senior position, reporting to the CEO directly. The Head of Business Development and Marketing will play a leading role in achieving the Corporate objectives of sustained growth with profitability to place Reliance in the top echelon of insurers in Tanzania.
The Head of Business development will be responsible for
a) Identifying business potential across Tanzania and drawing up marketing strategies to optimize business opportunities.
b) Gathering market intelligence and aligning market strategies to face competition.
c) Develop and maintain a very good business relationship with all stakeholders.
d) Supervise and develop all the Branch operations to enable them to achieve the budgeted growth and profitability.
e) Identifying the manpower and other relevant resource requirements and preparing an annual budget for Business Development and Marketing Team.
f) Responsible for developing appropriate- systems and procedures to comply with all statutory regulations/ adherence to good Corporate Governance practices
g) Establishing close relationships with intermediaries, financial institutions and regulators so as to create a preferred insurer status amongst them.
h) Developing new channels of distribution and products in collaboration with the Technical Departments.
i) Building up and sustaining morale of all the marketing staff at high level.
Competencies
a) Bachelor Degree from a recognized University.
b) Insurance professional qualification ACII, FCII or equivalent will be an added advantage.
c) ,Minimum ten years professional experience in marketing out of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior Management level
d) Track record of achievement in similar capacity.
e) Candidates with experience in insurance and familiarity with insurance regulations will have an added advantage.
